Common faults and troubleshooting methods of quartz dress watches

1. The battery of a quartz dress watch is dead after less than a year

First of all, we must eliminate the battery factors of the quartz dress watch, such as the battery life exceeding the limit. Secondly, the internal organs of the watch parts, the dry lubricating oil and the increase in the friction coefficient of the mechanical transmission system are the main reasons for the insufficient battery life. They should be cleaned and refueled for maintenance.

2. Quartz dress watches run slow or stop

The main reason is that there are metal scraps in the internal organs of the movement and on the surface of the rotor or the short circuit inside the coil. All the above requires cleaning and refueling the movement and replacing the circuit board.

3. Quartz dress watches run fast

The main reason is that the frequency of the quartz watch resonator in the circuit board changes. The cause is that the two pins of the quartz resonator are loose or its sealing tube is not well sealed, both of which will cause the frequency of the quartz resonator to change. Another problem is the control accuracy system in the IC circuit, which can also change the quartz resonance frequency. The circuit board need to be replaced.

4. The second hand of the watch parts goes backwards

This is mainly because the geometrical dimensions of the stator blades are deformed or the material of the stator blades changes internally, resulting in pits in the magnetic field lines. Problems in positioning are the main reason for the second hand to move backwards. The stator blades should be replaced.
